Day 02 - Bangkok Depart in the morning for The Royal Grand Palace, the most unmissable sight in all of Bangkok and one of the most spectacular palaces in Southeast Asia. The complex houses not only the Royal residence and throne halls, but also government offices and the renowned Wat Phra Kaew, containing the Emerald Buddha, the symbol of the country. Enjoy an entertaining and informative guided visit and be amazed by the opulence and splendour of the dazzling architecture. Continue with a visit to Jim Thompson’s House, home of the legendary American businessman and founder of the world renowned Jim Thompson Thai Silk Company and now the primary silk museum in Thailand, where you will enjoy a great Thai lunch. The house consists of a complex of six traditional houses – teak structures that were purchased from several owners and brought to the present location from various parts of Thailand and contains a wide range of Thai paintings, Sawankalok Pottery, Benjarong porcelain and Khmer statues. Day 03 - Bangkok After breakfast, meet the chef and boat cruise's crew to a local market where you will be shown a variety of fresh foods for sale. Some of the ingredients required for your hands-on cooking will be bought at the market. Each step will be explained and the nature of the ingredients will be described. The meal will be cooked and eaten step by step, an original way to lead Thai cooking and followed by a lunch that you have cooked Afternoon, enjoy a shopping tour in Bangkok with your guide expert. From the gleaming chrome and towering size of modern, air-conditioned malls, to the hustle and bustle of its famously buzzing street markets, Bangkok has all kinds of places to blow your baht. With everything from antiquities and the latest pair of trainers to designer jewellery available, Bangkok has an equally exhaustive, and potentially exhausting, variety of things to buy. Whatever you choose to purchase, and wherever you may want to pursue it, be sure to polish your bargaining skills and sport a big smile. Day 04 - Bangkok Shopping in Bangkok to most is like heaven. You will be delighted to see many famous buzzing street markets and huge air-conditioned modern shopping malls. The thrill in Bangkok will definitely give you a promising memorable experience. Yes, it may be difficult to decide since choices are endless. Perhaps, first you could head for areas where they are famous of its great shopping and flexible bargains. Try Pahurat Textile Market; Pratunam Market for ready-to-wear clothing or Suan Lum Night bazaar for its jewelries, furniture and gifts. The best market would definitely be Chatuchak Weekend Market. Its size is almost as large as 10 soccer fields! You will be welcomed with a wide variety of items ranging from clothes, footwear, beads and live animals! Street markets aside, you can also visit the popular shopping center, Siam Paragon. Do you know that it’s known as 'the battleground of the malls'? In addition, it also where Bangkok earn its name of international fashion hub for its leading stores inside. End the day with a 60 minute Thai famous Foot Reflexology before transferring back to your hotel for relaxation. Day 05 - Bangkok departure via flight Check-out of your hotel no later than 12:00 noon and take 45mins to airport for your onward flight to next destination or onto your home.
