Day 01 Day 02 Day 03 Day 04 Day 05 Day 06 Day 01 - Arrive in Phnom Penh via flight Upon arrival, when you leave the airport terminal please look for a tour guide displaying a welcome signboard with your name on it. Transferring (approx. 30mins) to your hotel for check-in and spend the remainder of the day at leisure and enjoy the nice setting of the hotel. Day 02 - Phnom Penh After breakfast, visit the National Museum, the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda. Opt to learn more about these turbulent years when visiting the infamous Tuol Sleng Museum then. Visit to the peaceful stretch of green fields of Cheung Ek that was made famous by the movie “The Killing Fields”. This journey into Cambodia’s past will provide you with a background on the cruelty of the Khmer Rouge regime. It will also give you an appreciation of the struggle that Cambodian people have faced and their tremendous courage to move on and rebuild their nation. Day 03 - Phnom Penh / Siem Reap via flight Take the morning flight to Siem Reap. This afternoon, hop on the local tuk tuk for interesting short ride to the famous Angkor Wat, one of the modern wonders of the world for sunrise. Stroll through the intricately carved hallways that show hundreds of fine carvings and discover small shrines still in use today by the local people. Day 04 - Siem Reap After breakfast, drive to the stunning royal city Angkor Thom. Continue your exploration by visiting the stunning Bayon temple, which is a 12th century masterpiece lies at the very centre of Angkor Thom and is an archaeological wonder of symmetry and grandeur. You will walk through to the three-tiered temple mountain of Baphuon temple within the Royal Palace enclosure that connects with the Elephant Terrace, Phimaanakas Temple and finishing at the Terrace of the Leper King. Then, visit the beautiful Ta Prohm temple, one of Angkor’s jewels. End your day with a visit Artisans d’Angkor, an organization focusing on training unschooled rural youth in traditional handicraft skills. Day 05 - Siem Reap This morning, visit the floating village of Kampong Khleang, one of the largest settlements on the Tonle Sap Lake. Board a local boat and ride through this village, observe the local customs and have a chance to talk with the villagers about the differences they face living on the water. Say goodbye to this village and visit the jewel of Khmer art, red sand-stone Banteay Srei temple, one of Angkor’s most significant structures as its walls are decorated with elaborate carvings and in an amazing state of preservation. Much of the Angkor civilization can be learned here by studying the remarkable carvings. Day 06 - Siem Reap departure via flight Check-out of your hotel no later than 12:00 noon and transfer (approx. 30mins) to the airport for your onward flight to next destination or returns your home.
