Day 02 - Bangkok

Wake up early this morning, and visit Wat Po in time to experience the monks’ morning chanting ritual. Followed by a short but exciting ride on Bangkok’s Tuk Tuk to Royal Grand Palace - the most important and impressive royal palace in Thailand and do not miss the mysterious Emerald Buddha, the most revered Buddha image in Thailand. 

Then, board an exclusive hot ride “007” long tailed boat to have a first-hand experience of Bangkokian’s local life style along the small canals of Thonburi. The water journey passing through Wat Arun or called Temple of Dawn, one of the cities earliest temples, now often used as a symbol of the city & the country. 

Early evening, drive to China Town for local street food tasting. There are thousands of street food stalls which make Bangkok one of the yummiest town for visitors. 

Day 03 - Bangkok

This morning, drive 1.5-hour to visit the Railway Track Market. It's a kind of unique experience as you will see the vendors quickly pack up their stores as the train approaches the tracks. 

Then continue to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, stepping back in time to experience the traditional way farmers would trade their produce. The canals are lined with boats that are paddled by local women and piled high with vegetables, fruit and even souvenirs for the tourists. Sit back and soak up the atmosphere as the locals go about their daily life and entertain you with their haggling techniques. 

Day 04 - Bangkok / Chiang Rai via flight

Transfer (approx. 45mins) to Survanabhumi Airport for flight to Chiang Rai. 

En route, make a stop at Bandaam Museum that includes nearly 40 small black houses made of wood, glass, concrete, bricks, or terracotta in various unique styles and design scattered around the temple area. The cluster of houses accommodate its owner's collections of paintings, sculptures, animal bones, skins, horns, and silver and gold items from around the world.

Day 05 - Chiang Rai

Start your day with a visiting the exact spot where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet, now worldwide known as The Golden Triangle. It used to be the area where an extensive trade of opium and papaver between these three neighboring countries. Continue your journey to Chiang Sean, the historical city and Mae Sai, a small trading town right on The Thailand – Myanmar border and known as the “Northern most point of Thailand.” After lunch, visit Doi Tung, a major environmental and socio-economic development project and Wat Phrathat Doi Tung, you probably will see variety of hill tribes on the way and can make a stop for pictures. 

Day 06 - Chiang Rai / Chiang Mai

After breakfast, drive overland to Chiang Mai. En-route, enjoy a magnificent 2-hour long tailed boat ride over the Mae Kok River that ends with a visit to a traditional Karen Hill Tribe Village to observe their unique lifestyles and then, board the boat again for a short trip to a local hot springs. 

Day 07 - Chiang Mai

Today, visit to Wat Suan Dok where ashes of former Kings of Chiang Mai and the Royal Family are kept. Take a 20 minutes rickshaw ride to a local temple and have an opportunity to talk with the monk about all aspects of his religion. 

Lunch break by experience with one of Chiang Mai specialties dishes - Khao Soi at an authentic local restaurant.   

Late this afternoon, you will visit Ruamchook Market with a local chef and have a private hands-on cooking experience at his Organic Farm. Then, enjoy the dishes your have prepared during the cooking time

Day 08 - Chiang Mai

Your guide will meet you in your hotel lobby around 8:00 a.m. Transfer to an Elephant Camp. Our acquaintance with these gentle beasts is made in feeding them bananas, which is followed by bath time in the River Ping. A perfect sets for some spectacular photos. An interesting demonstration of the elephant’s logging skill follows.

Next you have an exciting trek on elephant back through the jungle and then board bamboo rafts for an hour relaxing float down the river. Simple lunch will be served in the Elephant camp. Followed by a visit Lisu village, Akha village, the most beautiful women's head wears, decorated with assorted coins, shell and animal's fur. Visit Lahu tribe, very expert in hunting. 

End your trip at Palong Village where the local villagers wear beautiful costume, women wear belt, made of rattan, sometimes lacquer with silver. 

Day 09 - Chiang Mai / Luang Prabang via flight

Check-out of your hotel no later than 12:00 noon and transfer (approx. 30mins) to the airport for flight to Luang Prabang. 

Arrive in Luang Prabang, transfer (approx. 30mins) to your hotel for check-in. Evening free at leisure and enjoy the nice setting of the hotel.

Day 10 - Luang Prabang

Visit the Adventure and Elephant Camp in the middle of unspoiled, natural green surroundings. You will be introduced to the Asian Elephants and venture on a 1 hours scenic journey through forests, plantations and fields and have a chance to bath the elephant.

This afternoon, visit to the Royal Palace which is now a National Museum and houses the precious exhibits that used to be possessions of the former Laos Royal family.

Continue with the exploration of Wat Xiengthong, a 16th century temple which epitomizes all the elegance and grace of Luang Prabang architecture.

Take the opportunity to interact with the monks at the Wat Mai temple before ending the day with a climb of 328 steps to the top of Phousi Hill. Where you can watch the sun set over Luang Prabang town and the two rivers and forested hills which form its natural borders.

Day 11 - Luang Prabang

You have the option to wake up before dawn to witness and participate in offering alms to hundreds of saffron-robed monks - an awe-inspiring sight. 

After breakfast, embark a long tail boat for a two-hour journey upstream on the Mekong River to Pak Ou Cave which are home to about 4,000 Buddha statues. Local villagers and pilgrims have assembled the mostly wooden Buddha statues here for centuries as it is deemed disrespectful to ever destroy a Buddha image and this has now become a sacred site.

On the way back to the town, stop at a minority village where you learn more about sticky rice production and other traditional customs.

If time permits, pay a visit to the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre where you are able to observe valuable artifacts and traditional clothing and implements from each of the 20 ethnic minority groups which inhabit the Luang Prabang area.

Day 12 - Luang Prabang / Vientiane via flight

Morning, free at leisure and enjoy hotel’s facilities. Check-out of your hotel at 9:30 a.m. and transfer to Luang Prabang Airport for flight to Vientiane.

Upon arrival, when you leave the airport terminal please look for a tour guide displaying a welcome signboard with the welcome signboard and your name. Transfer (approx. 30mins) to your hotel for check-in

Day 13 - Vientiane

Today, visit the serene Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple in town. Continue to Wat Ho Phra Keo, the former home of the Emerald Buddha statue. Next stop is That Luang, considered to be the symbol of Laos and Patouxay, also known as the Arc de Triomphe, which was built in the 1960’s in commemoration of those who died during the wars of the past.

This visit to the weaving home-studio of an American textiles expert, as part of a United Nations project to promote traditional weaving. End your day with a visit to the contemporary Villa Cythere gallery which is located in the former home of well-known French painter Marc Leguay. Get to know more about the artists and their backgrounds by chatting with the director of the gallery who will be on-hand during your visit.

Day 14 - Vientiane departure via flight

Check-out of your hotel no later than 12:00 noon and transfer (approx. 30mins) to the airport for your onward flight to next destination or returns your home.
